Welcome to our hands-on workshop — the first and only of its kind in Turkey! Created with Mine Keskin’s exclusive recipes, this workshop is packed with a variety of cake flavours, delicious fillings, and versatile decorating techniques you can apply to every cake.
Course Content
- Day one of the two-day program covers all the preparations and baking, and day two is reserved for assembling, layering, and completing the decoration.
- Introduction of the equipment to be used in the Cake Flavours Variations and Buttercream Techniques Course.
- The workshop content includes 7 different cake recipes (5 different cake recipes will be taught through hands-on practice).
- You will learn how to create your own unique cake recipes using your imagination with 2 different techniques and original ingredients.
- You will apply 5 different filling recipes that can be paired with the cakes you have baked, and learn the fundamental technique for creating different flavors of fillings.
- In the workshop, different cake and filling combinations are used for each cake tier.
- Techniques for multi-tier cake assembly and support structure setup will be taught through practical applications (the support setup is very important for cakes with 2 or more tiers).
- A delicious buttercream recipe unique to Mine Keskin will be practiced for the cake's coating.
- Tips for working with buttercream, along with different applications for each tier such as smoothing, coloring, and texture creation, will be explained.
- The visual design of cakes will be completed using various decoration techniques such as metallic (gold, silver, pearlescent) paint application, working with fresh flowers, stencil application, marble effect application, and edible paper covering.
- This is one of the essential programs that all professional bakers and novice bakers wishing to step into the boutique pastry field must take.
