We would like to introduce you to someone who has organized very enjoyable events in Izmir; Dear Pelin Timinci

Note: Although he has been on hiatus for a while, he played a leading role in the preparation and planning of many organizations that are still talked about :)

Ms. Pelin, how did you decide to enter this sector?

I decided to organize a surprise birthday for a friend of mine. I thought, why not do something I enjoy doing as a job? We can say that the adventure started. I am so glad that it started, thanks to this I met great people and made great memories.

In organization design, how do you decide on the decorations or ornaments you will use in the area and always manage to produce different content?

It is very important to always be customer-focused. You should start by learning what they expect from that day, their favorite color, their dream environment, and combine your own style with the customer's wishes. During the interview, you will definitely come across a detail that will inspire you. Sometimes it can be a color, sometimes a flower, sometimes even a decorative item they wish they had on the table. After that, it is the creativity of the organization company.

What do you think is a must-have item on the dinner table for a special celebration?

Definitely flowers…

You like to combine special decorations with fresh flowers. What are your favorite flowers for decoration?

...Actually, it changes depending on the environment, season and even concept. But if you ask me my favorite flower, it's always hydrangea.

Sometimes the same characters can attract a lot of attention and become a trend during children's birthdays. You can present the same character, whose concept you prepared during the same period, to your customers in different designs. Isn't it difficult to do this every time?

This was something we experienced a lot :) It was a challenging situation where we had to seriously brainstorm to be personalized every time. Your creativity is very limited in this kind of work. We generally take care to make changes to the colors or background images. And of course, Mine Keskin, with whom I always enjoy working, was my biggest savior. Don't be afraid of the result when there are collaborations that always add different interpretations to the same image and don't repeat themselves.

Have you ever had an experience that was challenging but at the end you thought it was worth it?

In fact, since we approached every organization meticulously, almost all of them were jobs that we said were worth the effort. But if you ask specifically, we had a 1st birthday organization and I remember reaching the highest stress level of my life when I realized at the last minute that we had not taken the very special memory box for our client with us :) Of course, since we are always prepared for everything, we managed it without anyone noticing and it arrived on time, but the stress is still on my mind.

Which was your most memorable event and why?

It's a tough question, but I think it was the wedding we had at the Alavya Hotel. They were such a sweet couple. Things always end happily with people who speak the same language. They trusted us and handed everything over. Even though there were some setbacks that only we knew about during the preparation phase, everyone left very happy. It's still my favorite organization.

What do you think will be the trends in this sector in 2022?

Instead of crowded tables and overly large flowers, more natural, comfortable and intimate organizations are now at the forefront. We can say that 2022 is the year of returning to minimal and simple invitations. Of course, candles are always a must. Weddings cannot be imagined without them. In flowers, more neutral tones are at the forefront.
